A real church is like a chili pepper! |
||
|
Recently I watched from internet a sermon of R.W. Sambach where he said that if you are in a dead church then run away from there because a true church is like a chili pepper! I thought that I haven't really tasted a chili pepper before. Always they have been either pickled or marinated but I had never before tasted a fresh chili. So thought and done, I went to the shop and bought some chili. And laughed with the girl I live with that okay let's try what did Sambach thought with this chili. First bite.. nothing happened. Second bite.. also nothing. And then I remembered how once in Bulgaria I ate very much of those chilies and they were so delicious (they were marinated of course). As I was encouraged by these memoirs I took the third and a bigger bite and then... HELP!!! I believe that my girlfriend will remember this for a life time! J What a fire was in my mouth, nose and ears. It felt that soon tears will just start to flow.. I jumped around and cried and tried to extinguish this fire! This spicy is a true church! And that's the way it is! If you have tried something real then you don't want this blather anymore. One brother that I know from Denmark told me recently how he helped one Swedish church to open a church in Denmark but He himself doesn't go to there because the teaching is too soft. Only: „God loves you! God loves you!“ He yearns for something more strict and I agree! In my life reproof and admonition has brought only good things. When I was small my parents never forbade me anything! I received everything that I wanted! But it wasn't a blessing! I had no limits or borders and I thought that I can do everything! That everything is allowed! Nothing good came into my life this way! Honestly! I can tell of my life experience that if a person has no borders he can become really crazy in the end! But now I enjoy that I have limits and that I am stopped when I turn away from this narrow road. I like that God has placed a pastor over me who will watch over my soul because I can not watch over my soul myself! A little bit of spice is always welcomed! J So, my dear, find this true church that is as spicy as chili pepper and that won't fondle your ears but will preach the uncompromised Word of God and won't give in to sin! If you haven't found this church in Estonia and other churches seem like a whipped cream (but too much of whipped cream can make you sick) then come to City church already this Saturday and experience some spice in Christ Jesus! I will be waiting for you! In His love, Sister Joy
