“About THIS”: What to do if you like a girl who is an unbeliever?

Question: What to do if you like a girl who is an unbeliever? Is it possible to communicate with her and then bring her to the church?

Answered by Boris Grisenko: No. You can bring them to the church and then not communicate for a while :)

There are normal brothers who came from the world, who had a very difficult, roughly speaking, prodigal life. The normal actions of these brothers were as follows: they no longer called their past girlfriends. If one of their past acquaintances called, they said – let’s meet in the church. Because to be confident in yourself that you are so cool that you will meet your former acquaintance and evangelize him (or her) with mighty power in a few meetings, and then God will be very grateful for you and will say: “You are a magnificent exception, you are just a diamond! Because they are religious, they are afraid to do this, but you are just wonderful!” – this is pride and it is a trap. Usually people who fall into this trap stay in it. There are exceptions, but there is no need to play around with it.

Starting a relationship with an unbeliever, even telling her that “you are dear, you are a sweethaeart but let me talk to you and maybe you will understand that there is a God and so on…” is no less a mistake. This is contrary to the Word of God, which tells us not to be yoked with unbelievers. If you really want this person to become a believer and then, perhaps, if God wills, you marry her – the most you can do is invite her to the congregation, to the church. And it is advisable not to cling to this person, but to give God the opportunity to lead her – to explain to someone in the church, so that this person can be helped.

In general, it’s better not to even start such a relationship.
