An Iranian Muslim chanted “Death to Israel!” Now he proclaims life!

When I lived in Iran, every morning before class we said: “Death to Israel!”

And there was a very strange hatred for Israel, hatred for the Jewish people, which settled in my heart.

“And many nations shall flee to the Lord in that day, and they shall be My people” (Zechariah 2:11).

I joined the military and was sent for additional training as a commander. I became a drug addict. I stopped all religious activities.

When I finished my military service, after that I found a very good job, did business and received good money.

I left Iran simply in search of a better life. My illegal journey has begun. I flew to Turkey, to Istanbul, and from Turkey to Bosnia. It was a very risky and dangerous path.

When I arrived in England I applied for asylum. I didn’t have a good reason for this. I left Iran simply for a better life. I decided to lie to the government. On the application form I told them that I was a persecuted Christian and that my life was in danger, and I sent this document to the immigration office in London.

I said to myself: “Daryush, if the government asks you about Christianity, what will you tell them?” I decided to go to church just to get information about Christianity.

I went to church. I heard all the fundamental things in Christianity: about the Messiah, about repentance, about the cross… He rose again three days later, and He is alive, He can change lives… My brain was filled with information, but my heart was still in darkness.

I received a letter from the government inviting me for an interview. I picked up the phone and called my pastor. “I’m going for an interview. Can you come with me and help me with what to say and what not to say to the government?”

When he came, he told me: “Daryush, you are not a Christian. It’s all a lie. Yeshua asks you to stand in the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

I got very angry. I said “No! I can’t! They will deport me back to Iran!”

I went to my room, closed the door and fell to my knees. I cried and screamed… I said: “If there is any God, show me Yourself! I can not go on!”

When I said this, at that very moment, at that very moment, He revealed Himself! At that moment He came! At that moment He healed me completely from drugs! At that moment I gave my life to Him.

He touched my heart. And He gave me strength. It was a force that was working inside my heart because I had tried to quit drugs several times before, but I couldn’t. But at that moment I asked Yeshua to start a new life, and He did it!

And He told me: “Daryush, I love you as you are, with all your dirty things, because I died on the cross for you.”

I went to an interview in London and the official told me, “We just have a couple of questions.” I told him, “I am so ashamed of this application. I was not a Christian in Iran, my life was not in danger. I came to this country simply for a better life. But two days ago I gave my heart to Jesus! If you want to send me to Iran or anywhere else, I am ready for it.” He looked at me and said, “Did you lie to us?” And they rejected the application.

The judge looked at me and asked, “Mr. Zaria, what did you do yesterday?” The thing is that my trial was on Monday. I answered him: “Yesterday I led worship in church.” And he asked, “How did you do it?” And I told him that I was reading Psalm 96. And he asked: “What does Psalm 95 say?” And everyone in court opened the Bible, and everyone read Psalm 96!

“Sing to the Lord, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day.”

And a miracle happened – he told me: “You are allowed to stay in England.”

For a long time I believed lies about Israel, about this country, about the Jewish people.

I began to read the Bible from the beginning, and through this study God gave me love for the Jewish people. Because the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, Mashiach Yeshua saved my life. He changed my life.

I am the one who is for Israel.
