Black dot

One day, the teacher entered the classroom and announced to the students about a sudden test. They froze anxiously in anticipation of the start of the test.
The teacher handed out the worksheets with the text downwards, as usual.

When papers was distributed, she asked the students to turn over the papers.

To everyone’s surprise, there were no tasks – only a black dot in the middle of the page. In response to the surprised looks, the teacher said, “Write about what you see here.”

Confused students began to perform an incomprehensible task.

At the end of the lesson, the teacher collected the papers and began to read them aloud in front of all the students. Without exception, everyone described the dot and tried to explain its placement in the center of the page.

When the teacher finished reading, she went on to explain:

I won’t rate your work. I just wanted to give you something to think about. None of you wrote about the white part of the page, everyone concentrated on the black dot. It happens in life too. We see only black: health problems, lack of money, difficult relationships within the family, disappointment in friends…

Black dots are very small compared to everything we face in life, but they clog our mind. Take your eyes off the black spots in life, enjoy every good day and every moment God gives you.

Be happy and fill your life with love!
