Deceived – Part 2

The Holy Spirit

One very important part of being a Christian is the Holy Spirit, or filling/baptism with the Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit, we CANNOT live a life pleasing to God. When you are baptized with the Holy Ghost, something happens in your life and you begin to see things from a completely different perspective.

First, you will gain a better understanding of God’s Word. I know many “Christians” who believed in God for years, attended church faithfully, called themselves Christians, and lived according to their own understanding. But when, after all these years, they were baptized in the Church with the Holy Spirit, something happened to them and they changed. Their relationship with God suddenly became more real and vibrant, and they saw everything around them in a whole new light. And then they began to see and do things they had never seen or done before.

When I talk about baptism with the Holy Spirit, I am NOT talking about the water baptism you received as a child when you were baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This is a completely different baptism.

The Bible says that John the Baptist baptized many people. It was a baptism of repentance comparable to water baptism. Unfortunately, many stop there and prefer to think that is enough.

But John the Baptist himself said that he baptized with water; but He that followeth him, He baptizing with the Holy Ghost and with fire. It is baptism with the Holy Spirit and it is essential for a true Christian life.

I baptize you with water, that ye may repent: but He that cometh after me is mightier than I. I’m not fit to bring Him shoes either. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire (Matthew 3:11).

As Jesus walked the earth, He spent three years each day with His disciples. He taught them, answered all their questions, supported and encouraged them in difficult times, and so on. Think about it! They were with Jesus every day for three years. They heard Him teach. They saw how He healed people. They saw Him perform great signs and wonders. It was wonderful to be close to Jesus personally. If we could walk with Jesus today, it would be powerful, wouldn’t it? But Jesus told the disciples (and us) that it would be better for them to leave, because if He does not leave, He cannot send them the Holy Spirit.

But I tell you the truth, it is better for you that I go away: for if I do not go away, the Comforter will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. (John 16: 7)

But what could be better than living with Jesus? Of course, there is nothing better, but that is why we received the Holy Spirit. As you receive baptism with the Holy Ghost, you will receive constant help to live a life pleasing to God. The Holy Ghost reminds us of everything Jesus spoke of and gives us the strength to testify of Jesus. By living a life like Jesus, we can do what He did: signs and wonders. We can pray for the sick in Jesus’ name and see their healing.

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth ”(Acts 1: 8).

So when you turn to God and receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, you begin to experience a close relationship with God / Jesus through the Holy Spirit. … And this relationship can become as close as the relationship between Jesus and His disciples. It is said that when the Holy Spirit descends upon us, we gain power, but it is not only power to evangelize and proclaim the Word of God, but also to heal the sick, deliver people from demons, prophesy, and so on.

How to receive / receive the Holy Spirit?

You can overcome it by asking God, or ask someone who already has the Holy Ghost to pray for you. Not long ago, four people in our home were baptized with the Holy Ghost and began to speak in tongues. It happened when we prayed together. We (who had the Holy Spirit) laid our hands on them, and the Holy Spirit came upon them and filled them. And then, as described in the Bible, they spoke in tongues. (Speaking in other tongues is a gift that those who know Him receive from God. This language itself is incomprehensible, but so your spirit prays to God and through that prayer it answers and builds you up, glorifies God, etc.)

And he said, Wherefore are ye baptized? They answered, “To the baptism of John.” But Paul said, “John baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on him who would come after him, that is, on Jesus.” When they heard this, they were baptized in the Lord Jesus
name. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied (Acts 19: 3-6).

Here we read of Christians who have never heard of the Holy Spirit. It is also today, but not too late – you too can be baptized with the Holy Ghost.

Forgiveness

Now you have received some guidance on what it means to be a Christian. If as a result you realized that you want to meet God and learn. If you need His forgiveness, it is possible. And it’s very simple.

If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved: for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness;
for salvation (Rom. 10: 9,10)

It says very clearly what you need to do. You must acknowledge that Jesus is the Lord in your life and believe that God raised him from the dead. Confessing Jesus as Lord means obeying all of His commandments and DOING EVERYTHING He commands you to do. So it is NOT enough to say that you believe in Him and continue to live as you wish. NO, you must live in 100% obedience to Him.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; only he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven (Matthew 7:21)

There is another place in the Bible where Jesus asks us why we call Him Lord, but we do not do what He says. He does not want us to simply call Him Lord and continue to live our lives. He wants our obedience.

And if we do not keep His commandments, He will ask us, “But why do you cry out to Me, ‘Lord, Lord!’ and do not what I say? ” (Luke 6:46).

When the Bible says we can be saved, then when Jesus is Lord in our lives, we need to understand the word “Lord” correctly: it is He who controls and directs us, who we serve — that is, we do what He says that we are the person who obeyed Him in everything and are 100% obedient.

One might think that it is impossible to be 100% obedient. What happens if you are not quite sure what God’s will is, what if you do something wrong and show disobedience to God? God does not hold us responsible for what we do not understand, but only for what we already know and understand.

He who can do good but does not do it is a sin (James 4:17).

The same is true of sin. We can do something wrong by accident, not intentionally, and we are always forgiven. But if you sin arbitrarily, consciously, then you just are NOT a Christian and you need to repent. For example, everyone knows that watching pornography is a sin. And if you get into this network and “accidentally” watch pornography, wanting something you shouldn’t want, you are intentionally sinning. If you do, you are in great danger, you will be judged with sinners, and you will perish forever if you do not repent immediately.

The Bible says that in order to be saved, we must turn from all our sins. EVERYTHING means everything wrong that we know. Of course, sin can destroy our consciences in such a way that there is almost nothing left of it, but God’s Word is always true. The Bible makes it very clear what sin is and that sin separates us from God (10 commandments, etc.). But if you repent and give your life to God, you will be born again, and your conscience will be born again. It becomes sharp again as a razor. You will soon start to worry that some things in your life need to be improved. And you must live a new life and learn to distinguish right from wrong.

And do not conform to this age, but change your minds, that you may know what is God’s will, good, pleasing, and perfect (Rom. 12: 2).

If you try to hide your sin by ignoring it, ignoring your conscience, or think that God is gracious and therefore all will be well, you are wrong and you must repent before it is too late.

He who hides his transgressions will not reach his goal, but he who confesses them and forsakes them will find mercy. (Proverbs 28:13)

It is very important to always live in the light and not have conscious or unrepentant sins in our lives, because we must be ready to stand before God at all times. This can happen in an hour or maybe in 10 years. So there is only one question: are you ready for the judgment? Is there something you have not repented that you have not turned away from? If you knew you were standing in front of a judge in an hour, would you have anything to regret or forgive anyone? That is how we must report. And if you have something like that, deal with it NOW!

Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind. For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing,
whether it is good or evil.(Ecclesiastes 12:13, 14).

You may ask: how can I always know God’s will for what is right?

First, you must repent of your sins and repent, because you live in disobedience to your God and Creator. Turning away means changing the direction of travel, you have to do it.

First, ask God to forgive you of your sins and disobedience – in the name of Jesus. Then tell Him that from now on you will live for Him and obey His word. This is the very first thing to do, because if you do not, God will not be able to accept you. Even if you read the Bible and go to church. Until you repent or decide to follow Him and do everything He says / demands, you will live in rebellion. And if you don’t do what’s necessary, then with every breath you make you rebel against your God and Creator.

After that, you must fill yourself with the word of God (the Bible). You will get to know God through reading the Bible and fellowship with Him (prayer).

Last but not least is fellowship with those who live with Him. I am NOT referring to those who call themselves Christians, but are actually their own masters. I am talking about those who gave their lives to God and live by His Word, who are not Christians not only on Sundays, but who live with God 24 days a day.

So, start by repenting of all your sins and asking God for mercy, confess your sins to Him, and ask Him to forgive you so that you will not be condemned with sinners. If you repent and ask God in the name of Jesus to forgive all the wrong things you have done, God will forgive you and give you salvation. You will begin a whole new and wonderful life with God. Then find Christians who can help you in your new life with God so that you do not miss His plan for your life.

After that, you must be baptized in water and receive the Holy Spirit, because without Him you cannot go that way. If you don’t know of any Christians who can help you, write to me. Maybe I know Christians who live not far from you, or I can help you in your new life with God (see the email address below the article).

How did I become a Christian and how did that change my life?

I was born in 1976 and grew up in Brande city  in a completely ordinary family. My parents were members of the state church, where I was baptized as a child and where I was camped. But like most Danes, we never went to church. I believed there was more between heaven and earth, but I didn’t know exactly.

I once visited a friend who had recently become a Christian through personal faith and started attending an evangelical church. I told him that he was either insane or brainwashed, and that he needed to make sure that they were not Jehovah’s Witnesses or any other sect because they were talked about so much. However, I became curious. Some time later I saw a TV show from the church and saw that some people were really experiencing God. Then I thought, “If they can experience God, so do I.” And to my friend’s great surprise, I decided to go with him to the next service in his church.

When they arrived, people sang from their hearts, raised their hands, and spoke with tongues. At first I thought I was the only one normal here. However, I experienced something very special that night. When the speaker asked if there was anyone who wanted to receive Jesus as their personal Savior, I knew he was turning to me. I went on and said a prayer asking Jesus to forgive my sins and become my Savior. I didn’t know anything about it then, but something happened to me. Later that evening, someone prayed for me, and I felt something like a powerful fire run through my whole body. It is very difficult to describe, it was real and wonderful.

Much has happened since that day, April 5, 1995. The fear of death left me immediately and completely, I found great joy, peace, and experienced incredible freedom. Before that experience, I felt that God was very far from me in praying, but after that I knew He was near and prayer became easy. I suddenly began to understand many new things and experienced how God spoke to me.

About five months later, I was at a Christian concert in Aalborg, and God told me that my wife would be a girl standing behind me. I turned around and looked at her. After the concert, I was on my way home with a friend and told him that I had just met my future wife. I didn’t know who she was, what her name is, where she came from, and so on. But God said she would be my wife. When I returned home, I asked God to unite us in some way because I didn’t know who she was. Three months later we met again, today we are married and we have three children.

I have repeatedly experienced that God speaks to me directly through the Bible. This book has become alive and real to me. As I read the Bible, I often experienced that these were not just words, but that God Himself speaks to me. I like to read the Bible because it is different from other books.

I also had the opportunity to pray for the many people who were healed after prayer. They got rid of asthma, tinnitus, back pain, headaches, arthritis and more. I’ve seen people get well in the city center and throw their crutches away.

I told them I was a Christian and asked if I could pray for them. I witnessed how demons went out of people and how those people were completely changed as a result. They were bound and enslaved by fear, depression, nightmares, etc., but they were set free and it all left them behind. I had the honor of bringing other people to God and witnessing how their lives completely changed in seconds.

God helps me live the life we should live according to the Bible – a life of signs and wonders: a life as we get closer to God and learn. Get to know him better every day. This is an absolutely amazing life. I can’t imagine living without God for even one day.

Salvation and my life with God is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Life is no longer empty, but full of meaning. I got a task and a goal to live by, and it’s amazingly beautiful. Sometimes it can be difficult, but the Bible warns against it. Personally, I experience a lot of resistance in my life. From near and far, but the relationship with God is much more than all that. And no matter what happens, He is ALWAYS there.

Today, when I pray to God, I no longer pray religious prayers like I once did when I was in a difficult situation and needed help. Now it is very personal relationship with Him.

Prayer is a relationship, not a machine that you try to use when needed. For example, today I really like to go for a walk and just be with God. I miss the time of being with Him. I can easily close the door, shout, and talk to Him for an hour and listen to what He answers. No matter what I do, I always meet Him. When I drive, I talk to Him. When I work, He is there. He is present every day of my life, and I can’t imagine living without Him for a second. Life without Him is empty. Once you have met God, you will never be the same again.

These are just a few words about me, just a few words about my life and how God changed it. I could talk at length about my experience and what God has done for me. And this is just the beginning, because God has much more for me and I know Him much more now. The more time we spend with Him, the better we will get to know Him.

Today I know that God is real and my faith is not in vain. I met Him and I live with Him every day. Jesus died for me and for you, but we must also give our lives to God.

I have lived without Him for 18 years, and if I had died then, I would certainly have died. I don’t want you to die.

On April 5, 1995, I experienced salvation. You can experience it today. It depends on you. And it is not about belonging to the church, but about the personal relationship between the living GOD and YOU. Jesus gave me so much. He is LIFE.

At the end of this pamphlet, I quote several scriptures that describe the qualities of a Christian.

Signs of a true Christian

But believers receive such signs: in my name they cast out evil spirits, speak new tongues, raise up venomous snakes with their bare hands, and if they ran something deadly, it would not harm them; the sick upon whom they lay their hands shall be healed ”(Mark 16: 17.18).

It says that these signs follow those who believe. The word “sign” means the same as a sign that can be placed in front of a store. This label gives you an idea of what the store is selling.

For example, if you see a donut-shaped label, you know it’s a bakery and you can buy bread from that store. Speaking with tongues, casting out demons, healing diseases by laying hands on the sick are all signs that you are a Christian.

Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. and he cannot sin because he was born of God (1 John 3: 9).

The quality of a man born of God, or a Christian, is that he does not sin. The meaning of this verse can be conveyed as follows: Everyone who is born of God does not live in sin because he has the seed of God in him; he cannot continue to sin because he was born of God.

So if you say that you are born again or that you are a Christian but still live sinfully, you are deceiving yourself. If you watch pornography, lie, steal, if you have not forgiven anyone, then you are not a Christian. And then you must immediately repent and repent of your sins before you are convicted of sin and perished forever.

As the Bible says, you must renew your mind so that you can know God’s will. It is a process in which you are constantly approaching God and learning to distinguish right from wrong. Therefore, a person who has been a Christian for many years makes fewer mistakes than a newborn Christian. But if you do NOT intend to live without sin, then you have NOT yet begun your spiritual path.

And the disciples went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs. ”(Mark 16:20)

God confirms with miracles and signs that we speak the word of God, not of ourselves. If these signs do not accompany our words, it is not clear whether we speak the words of God or ourselves… So many different things are preached in our churches today.

Some pastors say something, quote a verse from Scripture, and it sounds like the word of God, but in reality it is their words. Many can be deceived by this. Therefore, we need to see if God confirms what we say. And here you may be in danger. I can easily tell you that everything is fine with you and that you can continue the same life you lived, and you can even believe me. But that would not be the word of God, but my personal opinion. And no matter how much I tell you that everything is fine, nothing will change. If you do not live a righteous life, you are on your way to hell because I cannot save anyone – only God can do that.

Conclusion

Radical, right? Yes, God’s Word is radical. You may be thinking, “No one can live such a life.”
But this is not the case, you can live this kind of life. Once you have truly repented, met the living God, and been close to Him, living a life pleasing to God is no longer a problem. Because He is always with us and guides us.

And to those who “know” God but do not live the right life that is pleasing to Him, I say the following:
Come closer to Him.

Pray and call on Him to show you who He really is.

Pray that He will expose satan’s deception in your life, that all your religiosity and “lukewarmness” may be revealed, that you may begin to read God’s Word without religious glasses.

Stop saying, “But God’s grace protects me” and use it as an excuse for your “lukewarm” Christian life. It won’t help you. Seek God like never before. Learn who He really is: a holy, just, and loving God who loved us so much that He gave / sacrificed His Son Jesus so that through Jesus we can be freed from the power of sin and fellowship with our God and Creator. He loves us incredibly, but as much as He loves us, He hates sin. He cannot simply close his eyes to sin and disobedience. He always condemns sin and disobedience.

Additional information

This pamphlet is written with one wish: for many to open their eyes and see the truth that Satan’s deception would be revealed in our country. We must turn to the living and true God, confess Jesus as our Lord and Savior, and learn who He really is because He is LIFE!

And I have the last words for those who do not know God, but think that they are all right and do not have to turn to God.

It’s not about what you think or feel, it’s about absolutely need to forgive your sins and be reconciled to God. If you have ever violated God’s law (10 commandments), you are guilty.

For example, if you lie, steal something, or use God’s name in vain, you have broken the law and you will be judged as sinners. And these are just three of the Ten Commandments.

So the question is not whether we feel good or not, but in forgiveness and reconciliation with God.

After all, the truth is that you are guilty because you have broken His law.

We have all done this, and therefore we must all repent and be forgiven by God.

However, this does not apply to anyone anywhere, it concerns YOU personally! It doesn’t matter if you “feel” the need for forgiveness or not. We simply have either forgiveness or condemnation. And the only important thing is that there is only one way to avoid the punishment you deserve for breaking God’s law — repent of your sins and be forgiven through Jesus. God loves us and does not want us to perish. Therefore, He sent His Beloved Son, Jesus, to die for us because of our sins, that through Him we might be forgiven of our sins.

If you refuse to repent, do not turn from your sins, you will not be forgiven. You will be convicted of offenses (as you will be convicted of violating Danish law). And it’s really important. And this is really important and true for you and me, because one day we will ALL be accountable to God for our lives.

So repent today and be forgiven.

For there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
(Acts 4:12)

This name is JESUS…
