Divorce - City Church in Estonia

This text is about an ordained man of God.

I think that if a servant of God has divorced then he can not be a teacher, pastor etc.

1Tim 3:2 Therefore, an elder must be blameless, the husband of one wife, stable, sensible, respectable, hospitable to strangers, and teachable. 5 For if a man does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God’s church?

For sure he can be a helper for a servant, organize Christian work and sharing of the Gospel. He could be a business man if this is the call of God. There are at least 100 different possibilities to serve God. But for sure he cannot be a servant. He should learn to love and surrender according to the Word of God. I believe that goal for every Christian is to surrender to God. And unfortunately if this tragedy has taken place – divorce – then a servant should continue their race of faith but by being submissive to the Word.

Once again it doesnt exclude giving personal testimony, talking about the real reasons why their marriage didnt work, they did their mistakes so that others wouldnt make them.

Letter is written so that believer could be saved, walk in humility and surrender before God and people.
