Do you work out your salvation with fear and trembling?

How many of us are interested in this?

Do you work out your salvation with fear and trembling?

“… work out your salvation with fear and trembling.” Phil. 2:12.
“… what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,” 2 Peter 3:11.

This is unfortunately extremely unusual! Yes, how many are there who are really working to save themselves from all that lives in us? Who is striving for this? Who is working hard on this? And besides, is even afraid and in awe at the thought that he/she too slow and not sufficiently interested and therefore may not reach the goal !?

A colossal superficiality and indifference reign among Christians!

Yes, the spirit of sleep has enveloped most of them in its power!

If anyone applies teachings to something, then it is exclusively to earthly things, which is the complete opposite of what Jesus admonishes us: “Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you. ” John 6:27.

If you, my dear friend, think that you are really working to save your soul, then be honest and sincere, take a sheet of paper and a pen, and write on it what you are so painstakingly working on.

Think carefully about this and write, then you will see how things are with you.

When it comes to this task then it may well turn out that you are more like a tourist than a worker.

However – better late than never!

Awake to seriousness!

Hurry up to catch up with what you have missed!

You need to work not only to get spiritual food for yourself, but also so that you have an abundance of things to share with others.
