Does your wife know you love her?

“When a man hath taken a new wife, he shall.. cheer up his wife which he hath taken.” (Deuteronomy 24:5)

The Bible says: “Husbands, love your wives, just as Yeshua loved the church and gave Himself up for her.” (Eph 5:25)

Since the disciples laid the foundation of the original church, let’s look again at how Yeshua treated them. He spent time with them, talked to them and listened to them.

The Old Testament law required: “When a man hath taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall he be charged with any business: but he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer up his wife which he hath taken.” (Deuteronomy 24:5)

Think, a whole year of love and getting to know each other.

Why did Yahweh set it this way? Because no fight or business is more important than a lasting relationship with your spouse. The biggest reason for divorces is growing apart from each other.

Couples who do not take time after work to be together without TV and phone and share their thoughts and feelings remain strangers to each other.

You know what never goes out of style?

Caring, communicating and putting your spouse first.

Your wife often shares her problems with you because she wants you to listen to her.

She wants understanding and support.

Listen to what weighs on her heart and she will feel loved.
