Family Reunions Don’t Exist in Hell

There are no family reunions in hell. If you choose to reject Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, you will end up in hell utterly alone. You will not be united with your loved ones, sharing in their company to enjoy whatever lies ahead. The only thing that lies ahead in hell is torment, and isolation. Family relations would represent a type of joy, and there is absolutely no joy in hell. This reunion belief is based on a lie.

Psalm 28:1-2 reads, “Do not be silent to me, Lest, if you are silent to me, I become like those who go down to the pit.” Being in silence would mean there is no conversation, and therefore no interaction with people. There will be no sharing and talking with those around you.

In Jonah 2:2, 6, “I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the Lord, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I. I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O Lord my God.” Jonah was alone, in affliction, and behind bars forever, or so he thought. God rescued him, but he certainly was not with anyone.

There are many verses in the Bible that describe prison cells, burning, being torn in pieces, being beaten with stripes, being delivered to the tormentors, the burning lake of fire, and utter darkness forever. When a person is experiencing this extreme kind of suffering, it is most certainly not conducive to having company or conversation. Psalm 143:3 says, “He has made me dwell in darkness, Like those who have long been dead.” A person who goes to hell will never see another person since they are in absolute darkness. Jesus Himself said several times that those who reject Him will be cast into outer darkness, where there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. He mentioned everlasting fire, everlasting destruction, everlasting damnation, and everlasting punishment.

We all have the opportunity to enjoy life and the people we love while alive here on the earth. Psalm 33:5 says, “The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.” Christians must be more intentional about sharing the way of salvation with people so they don’t end up in this horrid place. God has entrusted us with His precious Word, which promises eternal life to those who will receive it. In heaven we will be with our loved ones who knew Jesus. We will never experience loneliness, or pain, or loss, or suffering. We will never be separated from those we love. That is a promise from God.

Maybe you followed a false religion that led you to believe this idea of family relations in hell. Most false religions are founded on one man’s dream or vision. They follow one person’s teachings, with no proof or evidence of his claims, and no investigation. At the same time, many people ignore the Bible, which is filled with historical, archeological, scientific and geographical proof of its Risen Savior. The Bible clearly states that the unbelieving person, who rejects Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, will end up in hell.

Do not be deceived into believing there is anything good or welcoming about hell. There is nothing good in hell, most especially the comfort of family.
