God can’t, but you can

God cannot do many things: He cannot lie; can’t deny Himself; cannot transgress His Word. But He has only one thing He can not have if we do not give it to Him: our love.

He can create new universes, and we know there will be a new heaven and a new earth. He could and did create all kinds of beings, and no doubt He could create even more in the future, but man was His perfect creation, and He gave man His breath.

Since God cannot destroy man’s eternal spirit, the only solution for those who forsake Him is a place of eternal separation. Destruction is not possible, because then it is as if God is destroying himself, because our spirit is in the breath of God.

The only thing God cannot have is that which is of the greatest value to Him and for which He agreed to give His Son to death .

How great a privilege has been given to us that we can give Him something that He cannot have without our consent. What a great idea is that we can please the Creator of the Universe, delight Him, and please His heart.

The father longs for the unconditional love of His children, which is given for free. There is nothing more pleasant for Him.

This is clearly seen throughout Scripture. It tells us that there is much joy in heaven when a saved soul comes to Him. We get a small idea of God’s heart when we see that God boasted to the devil over Job. “Have you noticed my servant Job?” (Job 1: 8)

In the book of Daniel, we see how an angel called Daniel “a man greatly beloved”. With this, the angel made him realize that he was very dear to God. We also see God praising His Son Jesus openly when He says, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

I wonder what God is saying about us today? What does He say about me? When the time comes, I want to hear the words, “Good and faithful servant.” I want to be the one who brings joy to God’s heart. Others cannot make that decision for you.

The unconditional and voluntary submission of our hearts to God is the most personal and intimate decision we can ever make. God cannot take our heart, but you can give it to Him.
