God’s purpose for all His children is abundant life. He never wanted us to focus on our sins and failures. The good news for us is that we serve a God who has absolute love and mercy, who is willing to lead His beloved through their difficulties.
Until we are fully identified with death and resurrection, we cannot take our place with Christ in heaven.
Without experiencing death on the cross, there can be no breakthrough into resurrection life. The Holy Spirit gives us knowledge, until we die we cannot truly live. We know the date of death, it is associated with the cross of Christ.
Check where we are with all our fears, emptiness, loneliness, setbacks and compromises. Consider how little we use the peace from the Lord. God’s Word is clear about what a Christian should be; have peace and be free from the power of sin, but we are not far advanced in that. We ask those who have confidence and a victorious life, how did they do it?
The Holy Spirit must lead us to the cross and show death to this world and sin. As soon as we diligently begin to seek the Lord, with the desire to submit everything to Him, we will immediately be led by the Holy Spirit. He will lead us to the end of our ability and confidence in our flesh.
I am convinced that the Holy Spirit will return His church to glorious truths, to identification with the death of Christ and His life in resurrection.
You can be very afraid of death if you do not see the glory on the other side of it. But the Lord assured us of His eternal love. Despite our falls He gives us peace and joy and hope for life in His resurrection.
