In Omsk (RF) a second conviction was passed against the pastor of the church of Evangelical Christians

The Kirovsky District Court of Omsk issued a verdict in a criminal case against a 55-year-old local resident. He was found guilty of committing a crime under Part 1 of Art. 239 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (creation and management of a religious association whose activities are associated with violence against citizens), according to the Christian Megaportal inVictory with reference to the telegram channel Lawyer Chugunov Sergei.

The pastor was accused of creating in 2016 in the city of Omsk the religious organization Church of Evangelical Christians New Creation, after which he began to conduct divine services, during which he used technologies of psychological influence that affected the mental health of the victims.

The court sentenced the pastor to 1 year and 6 months in prison in a general regime correctional colony. After the verdict was announced, he was taken into custody in the courtroom.

“Somehow the matter is imperceptibly reaching the Protestants,” Sergey Chugunov noted.
