Our partner dr.David Chesoli’s speech at the City Church Zoom Meeting

Thank you! I am grateful to be with you again this day and I bring you greetings from Kenya.

My daughter has been and is still sick, having a kidney problem. I thank God because she is feeling a little bit better today. I just returned from the hospital and now I am back home so that’s why I join you this late.

But we serve a powerful and a mighty God.

Let’s share the Word of God from the book of Exodus 14: 13-14. “[13]And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.[14]The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.”

This Scripture really encourages me. Just knowing that we have a God who fights for us. From this text we find that Israelis were coming out of Egypt and they were led by Moses. The words that we just read show that those people were afraid of something that was about to happen in a few minutes to come because they had come to a place were nearby was a sea and enemies were following them and they were wondering how they were going to cross the sea. If they go back the enemy will kill all of them so here they got afraid.

Here now the Lord instructed Moses to talk to them. He told them: Do not fear! Stand firm and you will see the salvation of the Lord. We reach a time when we get afraid of circumstances surrounding us.

But this Scripture encourages us so much. Not to be afraid but to stand firm and trust in the Lord because our salvation comes from the Lord. He is the Only One who can make a way where there is no way. He is the Only One who can get us out of bondage. So if our trust is in the Lord. That is where we are able to overcome.

We are living in a time where challenges are all over. Even the developed economies are crying. We have reached the point where all people are crying the major thing here is to trust in the Lord. We should not look around at all these circumstances. We shouldn’t be afraid of things that are affecting our lives and always focus in the Lord.

Trust in the Lord and believe in His Word. He says that He will fight for us and we must remain calm and wait for the victory. The battle belongs to Him.

I want us to remember and always know that there’s nothing too hard for Him.

Here the Lord fought for the Israelites. All the enemies were drowned in the sea. And He opened the sea for His people to go through. He is fighting for us.

When we reach the end then we should not get afraid of anything. We should walk with the Lord, listen to His voice and always do in accordance to what He says by so doing He will not leave us nor forsake us.

At the end He will give us the victory. It doesn’t matter what situation you are in. We need to know that God is doing something every day for us because His plans are good, plans to give us a good ending.

Praise the Lord! Amen! God bless you! “
