The Lord calls us to intercede for our country

The Lord calls us to intercede for our country. The Lord has given us the power and authority of New Testament believers, so I believe that the current situation should move us to intercession. Today, in different cities of our country, people are fighting for their physical survival. But many of us do not live in such dangerous places. And we need to take this authority and the power of God’s intercession to pray for our people with intercessory prayer, and also to allow the Holy Spirit to show us our heart and, if necessary, repent. God calls us to prayer and intercession. He calls us to act at our level in the faith He has given us. The Word of God says:

“For everyone who is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that conquered the world, our faith. Who conquers the world but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?” (1 John 5:4-5)

The Lord has given us a most powerful weapon, which is stronger than any “Grads” and other weapons created by human hands. We have a weapon, created by the power of the Holy Spirit and based on the power of God, and it overcomes this world. This world wants to bring us destruction, defeat, fear, death, despair and hopelessness. But we have a weapon that is stronger than this. This is our faith.

We must remember that we are called to this spiritual battle, called to step on snakes and scorpions. And we raise and hold our hands before the Lord so that what the Lord has already done in the spiritual world is revealed and manifested on earth. Our prayerful, spiritual battle, our action in faith, action out of God’s love and compassion towards those people whom we can somehow influence and whom we can help in the place where we are – all this brings the revelation of that victory which the Lord has already done closer.

We intercede for our people. We bring repentance to the Lord, because we understand that more than 90 percent of the people in our country do not seek the Lord, do not cry out to Him and do not know Him. But we have the power of intercession  for our people and our country so that this situation changes. And we can ask the Lord for mercy. We can repent before Him for the unbelief and idolatry of our people. We can ask for Him to forgive, have mercy, show His freedom and heal our land from the spirit of death, from this war, and that mercy, love and security would come in their place.
