The power of “amen”

Have you ever wondered why we say “Amen” after prayer?
What and for whom does it mean when we pronounce this word?
Reflecting on this, we will discover a lot of interesting things. I am sure that it is extremely important and necessary for us to study and understand the great value of “Amen”.
Amen comes from the Hebrew word aman (אָמֵן).
Yes, you absolutely read it right, it is an ancient Hebrew word.
And this means that every time you say it, you are speaking in Hebrew.

Hebrew is the language of Israel.
An ancient form of Hebrew is the traditional and sacred language of Judaism.

Strong’s Concordance defines the meaning of the word as: “verified, exact, true, and so be it.”
When someone prays and we say “amen” in response, we are saying “so be it!”

We express our full support and consent.
This is a very POWERFUL TOOL in the life of a believer.

God has so many different blessings for us and it’s important to discover them for yourself.
He takes care of literally every part of our lives.
Our response to all His blessings is very simple: “Amen!”.

By saying this in response to His blessings, we complete the cycle.
He blessed – we gratefully said: “Truly, so be it!”

The word Amin or Amen comes from the Hebrew word “aman”.
It is written and pronounced with an “a” instead of an “e”.
This Hebrew word means “I support, confirm.”
It was this word that the prophet Moses used when he first told us about the faith of Abraham.
“Abram believed (אָמַן aman) in the Lord, and He counted it to him as righteousness.” Genesis 15:6.

Abraham believed God!
When God announced His promise that the childless, elderly Abraham would have a son, he simply said “Amen”!
In fact, by reading this verse we come to the conclusion that Abraham confirmed the words of God and agreed with them.
HE AGREED WITH GOD.

“…for all the promises of God in Him are yes, and in Him are Amen, to the glory of God, through us.”
2 Cor. 1:20.

When we recognize that God’s gifts come into our lives as His unmerited favor with us, we accept them freely and in faith, without guilt or judgment.
When we hear or read God’s promise to us, we should say “amen,” “so be it,” “it is true”!

God declares “… that everyone who believes (who agrees, accepts, confirms the truth) in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.”
John 3:16.

Whenever He speaks something kind and good in our address, we say: So be it!
There is great power in this AMIN, AMEN, אָמֵן!
So we answer like Abraham and believe that GOD will certainly do as He said.
Always agree with God!
AMEN ❗️
