We will see Jesus and live forever

We shall see Him who died for us, and we shall live forever and ever. His matchless love inspired Him to swim through the Red Sea of God’s wrath and make a way for us in the midst of that sea. Through Him we can safely enter our heavenly land of Canaan. After this we shall see how glorious is He who suffered and endured all things for us! Then we can better understand the breadth, width, height and depth of His love.

We know fully that the waters of wrath in which He was dipped in are the fountains of salvation from which we derive all our joy. From these sources we received the cup of salvation. This cup of salvation is given to us in exchange for the cup of wrath that He drank. It is then that our hearts will be filled with joy and the flame of unearthly love will be kindled in it, and our songs of salvation will be heard loudly in Heaven!

Looking at Him, we experience bliss forever and without ceasing. We will always see His glorious perfection! In Him we see only what we want to see. We look into God’s heart and see the love He has had for us since eternity. We will see the love and kindness He has for us forever and ever.

Then we, God’s heirs, take possession of His precious property, the inheritance. The Lord opens before us the treasure of his goodness, so that happiness fills us to the brim. We are not limited in any way—our enjoyment continues as long as our means, which God in heaven expands, permit. We know the fullness of pleasures, and through God’s goodness we are perfectly blessed in the fullness of pleasures.

Our love for the Lord, purged of the weeds of selfishness, becomes spotlessly clean. We all love when we get to heaven in the fullness of God’s joy. It is fulfilled when we know Him with our hearts and understand Him through experience, receiving the full measure of divine goodness.

The joys of knowing God and the Lamb will always be unique and new to us through eternity, because we drink water from living springs where new waters flow as a rich stream at all times. Our joy becomes pure and clear, there is no sorrow in it; it becomes continuous, permanent and eternal. We will forever swim in the ocean of joy. Everywhere we look, we see only joy. The presence of God and the joy of Him and the Lamb fills us with eternal bliss – this is how we feel infinite joy!

“You will fill me with joy in Your presence, with eternal pleasures at Your right hand.” (Psalm 16:11).
