Britney has been involved in the porn industry for 7 years. At this time, her life was completely destroyed, and in her mind there was a constant struggle with impure thoughts.
“When I got out of the porn industry, I struggled with a lot of lustful thoughts. I fought the temptation to go back and use drugs. I had a lot of things that I thought about before the renewal came into my life. “
Everything changed when the girl began to deeply read and study the Bible. She saw herself differently, the way God looks at her.
“When I started reading the Bible, it erased from my memory every lie that was released into my life by the enemy. It really changed my life because I began to see myself differently. I no longer looked at myself as an ex-porn star, an ex drug addict. I didn’t think I was like that. I began to see myself as a child of God.
And when you see yourself as a daughter of God and heir to the throne, because you have renewed your mind, then your life is transformed. You are no longer going to endure the usual sin, you are no longer going to allow destruction in your life. Now you look at yourself differently.
If I had a lustful thought in my head, if I was driving a car, sitting in a church, I would immediately say, “I condemn this thought in Jesus name, I am not going to think about it.” And then I said a prayer: “Father, I am very sorry that I allowed this thought into my head. Please forgive me and clear my mind. Help me not to think like that anymore.”
This is how Britney freed herself from all the impure thoughts that were in her head. In 2016, the young lady got married. They now serve with her husband Richard and help othrs to fight lust by talking about the importance of sexual purity and how lust can destroy a person.
“It’s important to understand that you have power over your thoughts. If you begin to bind impure thoughts over and over again for a certain amount of time, these thoughts will no longer come to your mind. I serve people who, like me, have connections with pornography, but want to live a pure life. The Bible teaches us that the way a person thinks in his heart, so is he. Therefore, if you constantly focus on the past images you saw or past sexual experiences, chances are that you will fall into the same sin again. We really want to help people win this war and make their lives pure, by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Britney’s husband Richard also emphasized that meditating on the Word of God, instead of destructive thoughts, will indeed lead to miracles.
“Don’t wait for the moment when you by yourself can forsake sin. Jesus is the only one who can erase the stains from our lives. What you give place in your life grows. Lust will eventually turn into adultery. Why? Because you are allowing it to grow. That is why it is so important to take dominion over them every time impure thoughts come. I want to challenge you today, like Joshua, to meditate on God’s Word every day, to renew your mind with the help of the Bible. It is very important not just to read the Word, but also to meditate on it. “
