“For because He Himself has suffered being tempted, He can help those who are tempted.” Heb 2:18
Are you in a financial hardship? Yeshua knows how you feel. He said He had no place to lay His head.
Do you feel that you are being taken advantage of? Yeshua paid tribute to the foreigner emperor.
But what if you have the opposite problem? You have a successful company. Does Yeshua understand this situation? Of course! He started and was the supervisor of His organization. 70 men and a number of women looked to Him for guidance. Under Him was a fanatic who hated the Romans and a tax collector who worked for them.
What about family tensions? “And hearing this, His relatives came to arrest Him, for they said that He was out of His mind.” (Mk 3: 21).
Have you been falsely accused? On the night before death, “… the chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin … sought false testimony against Yeshua in order to put him to death…” (Mt 26: 59). Oh yes, Yeshua has been in the same situation. He has “suffered when tempted”.
Max Lucado has written: “Yeshua was angry enough to cleanse the temple, hungry enough to eat uncooked ears of corn, mad enough to weep in public, reveler enough to be called a drunkard, cheerful enough to please children, poor enough to use water to illustrate a sermon, radical enough to be chased out of town, responsible enough to take care of His mother, tempted enough to smell the devil and scared enough to sweat blood.”
But why did Yeshua had to feel the greatest pain on earth? So that you know that because “… he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are tempted.” (Heb 2:18)
No matter what you are facing today, Yeshua knows how you feel!
