Read Romans 8:35-39
Neither height, nor depth, nor any other creation can separate us from the love of God that is in Yeshua HaMashiach, our Lord. (Romans 8:39)
I thought nothing of cats until the day a hungry kitten showed up at my door. I gave him a meatball and that’s where my love for cats started. Among other things, it has helped me to better understand the nature of God’s love. I have always had a hard time accepting unconditional love – how can a Creator love people despite all the bad things they do? This great truth of the Bible was taught to me by my cat, who has caused all kinds of mischief in the house, but whom I still love despite everything. This is actually unconditional love, and that is how God feels about us – neither height, nor depth, nor any other creation can separate us from His love, which is in Yeshua HaMashiach. Even when I have turned my back on Him, His love has not ceased. I have to admit that thanks to my cat, I have understood the greatness of God’s love.
