At such a time, it seems that the slightest incomprehensible situation means that something terrible is happening or will happen. Therefore, if you cannot contact someone by phone, with relatives, loved ones, friends, then immediately you begin to think: “Oh, something terrible has happened!”, stop these thoughts! Do not allow you thoughts to flow in that direction, because these thoughts are not of God.
I’ve watched how it overwhelms different people. Of course, first of all, unbelievers, and I sympathize with them very much. But it happens that even God’s children are seized by these thoughts: “I can’t reach my mother over the phone! There’s something going on! Horrible!” And in all those cases that I observed, it turned out that in general everything is well. There were simply interruptions in connection, or the person ended up in a bomb shelter where there was no connection. And each time, the 95 percent of the people who couldn’t connect with someone right away were assuming only the worst.
Friends, we are not slaves of strange thoughts! Even in such a difficult time, we should not assume the worst all the time. I’m not saying that every time you have to assume that everything is fine, and blow bubbles of illusions. But just cut off the false intimidation. There are also natural threats. As soon as you notice that you are starting to wind yourself up, stop and just give all these thoughts and terrible images to the cross of Calvary. And start thanking God that He hasn’t changed and He’s the same perfect protector as He was before the connection failed started.
