“What time I am afraid, I will put my trust in thee.…” Psalm 56:3
Are you feeling depressed? Can’t find a solution? Do you feel that you are not understood? Are you confused, hurt and alone? Do the doors of heaven seem closed and Yahweh silent? Here is a prayer that will encourage you and show you that Jehovah is still in control, no matter how you feel.
“Lord, I feel beaten down, yet You have made me more than a conqueror (Romans 8: 37).
I feel bound, but I know that You are my Deliverer (Romans 11: 26).
I am confused, but I know that You are a Counselor (Isaiah 9: 5).
I have failed, but You make me victorious (1 John 5: 4).
I am afraid, but yet I know that You have not given me a spirit of cowardice, but of power and of love and of soundness (2 Tim 1: 7).
I am friendless, yet You are my friend who is closer than a brother (Proverbs 18: 24).
It seems that I am in darkness, but Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path (Ps 119: 105).
I feel lonely, but I know that You have accepted me (Eph 1: 5).
I feel poor, but I know that You fulfill all my needs according to Your riches (Phil 4: 19).
I feel sick, but I know that You are the Lord who heals all my diseases (Ps 103:3).
I am restless, but in You I find peace (John 14: 27).
I feel dirty, but You are my Purifier (Mal 3: 3). I am weak, but You are my strength and refuge (Ps 18:3).
I feel worthless, but in Your eyes I am a precious pearl (Mt 13: 46).
Lord, if You see me that way, I choose to see myself that way and act accordingly. In the name of Yeshua, amen.”
